WHEN WE GO MISSING by Kristen Twardowski

Here’s my standard disclaimer. I saw the title listed on a website for mystery & thriller books and decided to check it out. I found that the book was part of Kindle Unlimited, and I’m a KU subscriber, so I downloaded this title through Amazon on my own accord. The Author did not send me a copy to review, and did not request me to review this book. A rating will follow this review on Goodreads and Amazon.

I review books based on the story itself. I’m not an editor and I’m not reading these books to proof them for Authors. I’ve read classics or best sellers with mistakes in them. The only time I will let mistakes effect my review is if the mistakes made reading the book cumbersome. At that point, I will just give it a lower number rating while reviewing the actual story itself.

I don’t like reading a review that is basically the back cover blurb, or something that gives away too much of the story. Personally, I like suspense. I like to discover the details of the story as I read them. So, please enjoy this spoiler free book review!

I’m happy to announce that the tenth book I’m reviewing on my blog is a book called WHEN WE GO MISSING by Kristen Twardowski.

WHEN WE GO MISSING is a suspenseful thriller.  This is one of the most enthralling stories I’ve read in a long time.  Can you imagine?  Alex is married to a monster.  Sweet and charming, but a monster nonetheless.  The romance and marriage is a dream come true.  He swept her right off her feet.  She had it all.  You can’t help but to feel for her and the victims as well as their families when it all comes crashing down.  Some questions are answered, but others aren’t.  There’s a trial, but not everyone receives closure.

Alex’s life is turned upside down.  Is she crazy or not crazy?  Does anybody believe her?  Does she believe herself?  Is anyone safe?  Is the past repeating itself?  You will not put the book down until you find out, and you’ll want to find out!  The resolution is something you’d never expect.  It’s so fitting.

I was hooked from the first line. This is a great story.  The characters are well developed and the cover looks good. I recommend this book to others. I rate this book 5 out of 5!

    1. prp3theauthor – Crystal Coast, North Carolina – I was born in California, but lived in Japan and North Carolina as well. My Dad was a career Marine, and married my Mom where he met her; in the Philippines. I have two sisters, and I am an uncle. I graduated high school in California, and went straight into the Marines. College didn't appeal to me at all. Neither did living in the middle of the desert in California. Nothing could convince me to stay, or go to college. My mind was set to get out of there, and to see the world. I was in from 2000 to 2004. I'm also an Iraq War Veteran. Specifically the Invasion of Iraq in 2003 with the 1st Marine Division. After the Marines, I went to college. I received my AA from Coastal Carolina Community College, and my BA from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. I met my wife while I was a student intern with the US Department of State. If you know any college sophomores, please tell them to check out the State Department website. They have a ton of internship opportunities in the US, and abroad. Anywho, I was assigned to the US Embassy in Manila, Philippines when we met. My future wife worked in my building. Or I worked in hers since I was just an intern. She stayed in Manila while I got a job in Iraq. Without going too far into it in my about me description, I got a job with a company in Northern Virginia. They sent me to Fort Benning, Georgia for civilians working in a dangerous area (CRC). And then to Germany. I got to travel to Switzerland, and Italy as well. Then it was Iraq from 2007 until 2009. I wanted to spend more time with my family, so I transferred from Iraq to Masirah, Island in Oman. I was able to bring my family with me there to a Royal Air Force of Oman air base that had an American contractor for the US military presence. We stayed there from 2009 until 2011. Then I took a transfer to US Air Force base right outside of Doha, Qatar. That was a whole different kind of experience. We lived in Doha while I drove to the base for work. We were there from 2011 until 2014. In 2014, I brought the fam here to North Carolina. I've been to dozens of countries, but I've never been to anywhere quite like the Crystal Coast, the Outer Banks of NC. Take a visit out here in the summer, and you'll see why. And that's pretty much all there is about me. I have a day job but I create content whenever or wherever I can. My proudest content creation are my books, as I have nine and more on the way. I'm getting into the vlogging game now, and I'm enjoying that just as much as being an Author. I'm even getting my family involved. My wife and I have four children, and we like to document our adventures. We go fishing, cast netting, crabbing, and hiking. We hike around the coast, and visit the barrier islands off of the Crystal Coast. We also like to take road trips when the kids aren't in class. We've driven to D.C., Orlando, and as far away as St. Louis. When the kids are in class, we spend our free time at their dance and sports practices, games, and recitals. After the high paced jet setting lifestyle I had, I love putting down roots with the fam. I'm pretty laid back, and enjoy spending time with family, and friends. I love watching football. I play fantasy football, and even have been to see the Carolina Panther's play. I'm actually a fan of the Los Angeles Chargers, but since I live in NC, I go for the closest stadium. That's about it I guess. I like to write. I have stories I want to tell. My plan is to add positivity to the world, and I'm excited to be able to do so.
